Somatic Cell Hybrid Mapping
Using PCR and gene primers DNA from the clones can be used to see if certain genes are in certain clones.
Using this information and information as to which cell lines have which parts of chromosomes a gene can be cytogenetically mapped.
DNA from the cell lines are used to form a panel.
No polymorphisms needed. Tricks may be used.
