Prolactin (PRL)
Prolactin (PRL) is a hormone secreted primarily by the anterior pituitary.
High PRL levels during pregnancy have been associated with increased LH/CG receptors in rat corpus luteum, plasma progesterone levels in rat and pig, and sustenance of high levels of estrogen and release of relaxin in pig corpus luteum.
